Covering The Bottom Line

You never know what you will find on NYC WasteMatch. Like many materials exchanges, the variety of available materials is endless and changes day by day. 
Most recently two pallets of training diapers were posted to NYC WasteMatch by donor Metro Ministries. Brand new and in the box, it seemed a silly thing to let 9,600 pairs of diapers go to waste before they had a chance to divert some waste themselves.
Working together with Metro Ministries, NYC WasteMatch was able to make a connection with another faith-based nonprofit, Congregation Rod Zeen, allowing for all 9,600 pairs to go to families who can use them. Once again, materials reuse helps avert a messy cleanup.
